My sweet Madeline,

You have filled my life and my heart with such great joy these last four years. I still see this sweet chubby cheeked baby when I look at you, but I know how quickly you are growing up.

You have a light around you that shines so bright. From the moment you were born you have brought joy and light not just into our lives, but into the lives of everyone you meet. I’ve always said that since you are our precious rainbow daughter that you have a little something extra special about you.

You have the kindest heart and already show everyone around you empathy that is truly beyond your years.

You are smart and are constantly learning new things that amaze me.

Your sense of humor is one of my favorite things about you. You love to laugh and make others smile. The sound of your giggle is my most favorite sound ever.

You are talented. So talented. I watch you dance and sing and I’m just in awe of your talent. I’m excited to watch you venture into sports as you begin playing t-ball this week. You love cheering on the Royals and I know you are going to have so much fun learning more about your favorite sport as you begin to play.

You are creative and have the wildest imagination I have ever seen. Whether you are making up stories for your Barbies or drawing pictures with crayons, your creativity is a gift and I’m so grateful I get to see it.

My gorgeous girl, your sweet brown eyes with those long lashes and that incredible smile of yours has drawn everyone in from the very beginning. Everywhere we go with you, people are drawn to your spirit and they love to talk to you even if you are often too shy to talk with them.

You are a princess and a superhero destined to change the world. You are going to do big things, sweet girl. And I am so proud that I get to be your momma and cheer you on every step of the way.

I love you bunches and bunches to the moon and back always and forever.
