Trying to Find Peace

“Deep grief sometimes is almost like a specific location, a coordinate on a map of time. When you are standing in that forest of sorrow, you cannot imagine that you could ever find your way to a better place. But if someone can assure you that they themselves have stood in that same place, and now have moved on, sometimes this will bring hope” ― Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love

Thank you all who have stood by us and told us your own stories of grief and loss. We know that our hearts will forever ache for our son, but we know that in time we will come out on the other side of the deep grief and find a renewed strength in our faith and in each other just as many of you have as well. Today’s service brought a sense of peace that we can only attribute to the literally thousands of prayers that we know are being said for us. Please keep them coming as we truly do feel them. We love each of you. Our friends and family are some of the very best!
