He’s here. He was 2 pounds, 11 ounces. Apgar was 9. He came out crying and pink. No intubation needed so far just the cpat. They said he is doing really well.
Joshua is still doing good. I finally got to go see him this afternoon. That magnesium drip is awful. So thankful to finally be off of it and hopefully I will feel more alive in the morning. Still having a fair bit of pain. They said we should get to hold him tomorrow as long as his stats stay up. So far he is still breathing on his own and stats are good. His blood gas is a little low, but they said they expected that and so not to worry. He is tiny, but looks perfect with a head full of dark curly hair just like his mama. They said his oxygen level and stats went up as soon as we walked in the room and he heard our voices. He opened his eyes when he heard our voices. It will be a long road, but I am just so thankful for him and my amazing husband. I wish that we would have been able to keep him in a little longer and I’m having a hard time not blaming myself for somehow letting him down, but I am trusting in God’s plan and that He has us all in His hands. Thank you all for your continued prayers. They mean more than you will ever know.
