In Like a Lion

So far, March has really come in a like a lion.  We had 60 something degree weather in the afternoon, severe thunderstorms in the evening followed by hail and tornado watches and warnings, and then snow the next morning.  Missouri is great.  If you don’t like the weather – just wait about an hour and it will change.

On the personal side, I have been busier than ever.  I have been trying to work at two newspapers simultaneously and it is starting to seem like that might not be such a good idea.  However, I’m torn.  One pays a whole lot better but it is a lot less hours and the other one I get to do a  bit more and it is more than full time most weeks but the pay is not exactly what I had hoped for.  I don’t know.  I’m going to still try and do both for a while and see if I can’t get one or the other to change for the better.

As insane as it seems, I still want to do a bit of freelance stuff on the side (proofing/editing, writing, and even ad design).  I love this stuff, and I truly enjoy doing it all.  I’m still not completely sure where I want to end up, but I know that right now I have a good start, and for that I am thankful.

  1. Wow, sounds busy! It is hard to decide when you’re getting more to do one place but getting paid better at the other. Hopefully you’ll find something that works out for you. And I’d say go for a little freelance if you can find the time. Good luck!
