Blog Neglect

Once again, I have changed the site around.  I swear, one of these days I’ll find a banner/name/background/etc that I really like, and I’ll stick with it for more than a month.

Right now, I left the background the same.  I’m not quite sure what to do with it.  This one just seems unobtrusive.

Oh, Failed Conversationalist.  There is this anonymous quote that says that a writer is just a failed conversationalist.  Thus, since the main part of my daily job is writing – I decided that that must mean I’m a failed conversationalist, and I might as well just embrace that fact.

I think that is part why I find it difficult to write anything interesting on here anymore.  I have been doing a lot of writing outside of this site and that makes it difficult to sit down at the computer and come up with anything interesting or new to say to you all.

I can’t really write about work (I’m so not going down that path), and besides my work involves a lot of writing that I’m paid to do, so by the time I get around to posting here – I’m at a loss for words/topics.  I’m sorry that I’ve been neglecting you, but my focus has just been elsewhere.  Maybe I’ll just start posting photos (you all seem to like the photos, right?).  I don’t know.

What I do know is that I need to quit messing around with this blog, and get back to work.

  1. I know what you mean. I my job doesn’t have anything to do with writing, but I find it hard to write stuff. Though it doesn’t help that my life is fairly uninteresting unless the boyfriend is in town.As to your previous post, my dog goes nuts when it storms. Not the same as just raining, but thunder, fireworks, and smoke/CO2 alarms freak her out. She’ll practically walk under you for hours until it’s over. I read something about dogs being afraid of things they were exposed to when they were puppies. [for example, my dog probably heard fireworks when she was only 2 months old…this could be why they scare her.]
