Listening to the Melancholy

I love sad music.  To me nothing is as good as a really slow song with lyrics that bring a tear to your eye.

What does this say about me?

I’m not a generally depressed person, but I love to listen to the melancholy.

I think I feel more inspired to write after listening to a song about heartbreak.  I have mix cd after mix cd labeled "slow songs," "unrequited love songs," "heartbreak songs," "sad songs."  These are my playlists.

Current melancholy song: Sinead O’Conner – Nothing Compares To You

  1. When I went through the worst gut wrenching break up of my life, I listened to Sinead O’Conner endlessly. It was the album called "The Healing Room"I love that album.
